I am a third year Doctoral Research Fellow and an Instructor at the University of New Haven's Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences. During my first two years of study I completed my coursework for the PhD Program and worked as a Doctoral Research Fellow for the Tow Youth Justice Institute's (TYJI) Research Team. I am currently in my third year of the PhD Program, and am an instructor for The UNCommon Course (UNIV 1125) and Quantitative Applications in Criminal Justice (CJST 2251). Next, upon successful completion of my Theory and Research Methods & Statistics Comprehensive Exams I will shift my focus towards completing my dissertation.
I previously completed my Bachelors and Masters degree in Criminal Justice at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut, where I also minored in Human Rights and Social Justice. While I have had the opportunity to be involved in a broad spectrum of research projects, my interests primarily lie in policing.
I currently reside in Waterford, Connecticut with my wife Kacie, our son Henry, and our dogs Oreo and Ruger.
My mission as an educator is to develop independent critical thinkers that will be future leaders for positive change
My scholarship comes primarily form research opportunities I have had at the Tow Youth Justice Institute as well as with the Liberty Initiative at the University of New Haven.
